2025 has been quite the year. Ideas in 3D modeling have exploded. I still don't know CAD, however that hasn't stopped me from making models in Illustrator and exporting obj files to print. I have discovered that if you can get the objects to line up, they can be exported to print without further tweaking in Dimension.
If the objects don't line up, some tweaking in Dimension will be necessary. I've also discovered, do not drag a file into Dimension, automatically, the file is set to centimenters. When importing a file into the slicer, it appears 10X smaller than the model was designed at. Here's the process, open Dimension, create a new file, set the measurements to milimeters, and then import the file. When the tweaked file is exported, it will open in the slicer at the size it was designed at. I know, that doesn't make, centimeters are larger than milimeters, so why whould the slicer import a file built in centimeters at 10% of the size? I don't know. I'm still not sure computers are here to make our lives easier.
